A rare 4-hour recording of Theo Parrish performing at Club 77 in Sydney has surfaced on YouTube. Parrish, the Detroit-born DJ and producer renowned for his innovative approach to electronic music, is known for blending elements of house, jazz, and soul in extended sets. This newly uncovered recording showcases the Sound Signature label head’s signature style over a marathon session, offering insight into his track selection and mixing techniques.

The performance took place at Club 77, an underground venue on William Street that has been part of Sydney’s nightlife for over 25 years. The recording is part of Club 77’s archival footage, which spans more than two decades of DJ sets and live performances, documenting the evolution of electronic music in Sydney.

Parrish’s set demonstrates his deep musical knowledge and penchant for underground sounds, including tracks from Chris & Cosey, Liaisons Dangereuses, Black Rascals, Stephen Encinas, Chip E., Ge-Ology, and Rhythm & Sound.
